Giovanna Mas

Giovanna Mas was born in Christiansted, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands in 1976. She lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico for several years prior to moving to Tampa in 1990. Giovanna attended Adams Middle School and Chamberlain High School where she published for the school newspaper and graduated with honors in 1994.

While in high school, Mas went to work for K-Mart Corporations. While there she received several commendations for Employee of the Month and the Chairman’s Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in 1994. She also participated annually in the March of Dimes-March for Babies Walkathon and volunteered for Hands on Tampa Bay and the United Way of Tampa. After high school graduation, Mas worked for Target Corporations where she received several Associate of the Month awards and numerous customer accolades in addition to continuing her volunteer work. In 1995, Mas went to work for the 13th Judicial Circuit of Hillsborough County’s Human Resources Department. In May of 1997 she joined the staff of Fernandez & Diaz, P.A. where she began her legal career under the tutelage and supervision of Dario Diaz. Giovanna has been with the Law Office of Dario Diaz since its formation in 2005.

As her interest in the law matured, Mas attended Florida Metropolitan University receiving her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2005. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a Dean’s List recipient every semester. Giovanna Mas is a Florida Notary Public as well as a Florida Bar Registered Paralegal. Mas continues her education and is currently working in attaining her NALA certification.

Mas is the Senior Paralegal at The Law Office of Dario Diaz. She has been working side by side with the Senior Partner, Dario Diaz, for over 13 years. Her vast experience involves dealing with every aspect of a trial practice. Mas is well versed and highly experienced in all aspects of a trial practice, from intake to trial. She has handled every aspect of a personal injury case, many complex criminal cases, and a variety of family law cases. Her, “behind the scenes” knowledge and attention to detail has benefited clients in high profile cases involving national notoriety to those clients with a local traffic ticket. Giovanna is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Giovanna Mas is married and has three children.
